Publishing LEGEND says AMAZON SUCKS

In AMAZON SUCKS Publishing LEGEND Sol Adoni, who  has sold alot of eBooks over the past 20 or so years while also publishing some very famous websites, takes Amazon and BN to task and literally says the Titans of eBooks SUCK.

On the blog of Sol Adoni, who is now retired from his ‘digital empire’, he trashes both Amazon and BN. The reason, he says they have it all wrong as to what eBooks should be selling for, so non-fiction authors and publishers can eat.

Sure if you sell ‘tripe’ for masturbation as Sol Adoni puts it, you can sell millions of .99 cent downloads for the public to masturbate to on their kindles and nooks under the sheets.

However, he points out the technological flaws of both Kindle and Nook formats such as not being able to handle ancient languages such as Hebrew and Greek.

The current distribution deal at both Amazon and BN force publishers to cap titles at a maximum of $9.99.

If a publisher lists eBooks over that amount they loose 70% of the sale to Amazon and 60% to BN.

Sol Adoni, points out both Amazon and BN are not editors, nor publishers yet they make more than the publishers and authors do if they sell a work over $9.99 and for some types of titles that only appeal to a niche market, you have to sell the ebooks at $29.99 to $49.99 dollars so the authors and publishers can eat.

The fact is very few authors ever even earn a lousy $1,000 a year or more by selling their works on Amazon.
